Homes in the Lexington Battle Green Historic District, along Hancock Street, and through East Lexington require Lexington Historic Districts Commission review for exterior color changes. Belmont (02478) — Belmont Hill & Cushing Square

Watertown (02472) — East End to Oakley

Historic District Process — What to Expect

1. Pull color samples from BM Williamsburg, BM Historical Collection, or SW Historic Colors
2. Submit color board + photo of current condition to local commission
3. Commission review (typically 30–45 days; we time the project around it)
4. Begin work post-approval — keep the approval certificate on-site
